Academic Diploma Course Level II, five year course, in “Restoration of Cultural Assets” – Accademia Aldo Galli in Como
Qualified, professional course as “Restorer of Cultural Assets” which is articulated in the following training modules: PFP1 (Stone and derivative materials; decorated surfaces in architecture); PFP2 (painted articles on wood and fabric supports. Wooden sculptured articles. Wooden furnishings and structures. Articles in worked, assembled and/or painted synthetic materials). Isabella Villafranca Soissons, Director of Open Care’s Conservation and Restoration Department, is a lecturer for the second module on the part relating to the articles in worked, assembled and/or painted synthetic materials, which is articulated in a programme which includes, amongst others, the understanding of problems regarding previous restorations, the in-depth study of the constituent materials of contemporary works, the approach to interventions of conservation and restoration, the relationship between artists, restorers and the owners of the work. Lessons are held in the Open Care laboratories.

Advanced Course in Contemporary Art Markets, of the NABA Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti Milano, Visual Arts Department
The course, prepared in collaboration with Open Care, provides the tools for understanding the dynamics and market scenarios of contemporary art. The course offers indispensible information in relation to those operating in the artistic panorama as curators, journalists, art critics and art collectors and is open to undergraduates who want to combine a focus on contemporary art business with an academic curriculum.
The Open Care professionals, Antonella Crippa (Art Advisor), Isabella Villafranca Soissons (Director of the Conservation and Restoration Department) and Alessandro Guerrini (Development Manger) are amongst the course lecturers. Lectures are held in the company’s various departments where the participants can come into direct contact with the professions and services essential for the contemporary art market.
