The area hosting the paper and parchment materials’ workshop is equipped with specific climatization as due to the extremely hygroscopic nature of the materials that undergo considerable dimensional changes with the variation in the relative humidity.

The materials that are dealt with are extremely heterogeneous: ancient manuscripts, papier-mâché statues, both western and oriental miniatures, and many others.

The past few years have seen the acquisition of considerable experience in the conservation, maintenance and restoration of heterogeneous archival assets: these range from vintage photographs (with their relative negatives) to magazine collections, from company samples through to posters and advertising material.

Businesses are demonstrating an ever-increasing interest with regard to their own archives, evidence of a past to which they can refer, using them as tools for strategic and cultural innovation.
